A vacancy has arisen within the Operations Department in various locations within the South and West Africa Region for DST/TCP Operators and Supervisors, reporting to the Country Manager.

The purpose of the job is to assist with the performing Drill Stem Test and/or TCP Operations within the field safely and efficiently.

The principle accountabilities of the position are:

Perform DST and/or TCP operation in both onshore and offshore field locations.
Take charge of pre-job planning activities, which may include client meetings. This includes string design.
Take charge of equipment preparation activities and job load out for the designated operation.
Supervise and mentor more junior operations personnel both on location and in the workshop.
Work closely with other DST/TCP supervisors both at region and global level to share information.
Assist with awareness training on DST and TCP within region.
Effectively communicate with peers and management regardless of location or time zone.
Travel throughout SWA region as required, with potential for travel to other regions occasionally.
Perform all activities safely, and with regard to Expro rules, systems and procedures.

The successful candidate should also meet the following criteria:

Minimum 5 years DST and TCP experience.
Excellent mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pneumatics and instrumentation.
Excellent computer skills and literacy.
Excellent communication skills.
High School diploma or equivalent. Extensive Oilfield Experience or apprenticeship may be acceptable.

• Interfaces with other discipline and project engineers in order to coordinate work and ensure clash-free design with regards to controls and instrumentation, electrical, piping, structural, and etc.
Requirements:
• Possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, including specification, selection, application, design, testing, installation and commissioning of all types of rotating machinery
• Experienced in the preparation of tender documents/equipment specifications, bid evaluations and award recommendations

Job Title: Pipeline Engineers (PE/SP/006)
Successful candidates will be responsible for managing the technical integrity of considerable length of pipelines, This will involves:
• Providing maintenance and inspection plans to assure the technical integrity of the pipelines within defined scope and budget, focused on realising asset specific HSE, integrity, costs and availability performance.
• Developing and implementing best practice inspection, monitoring and emergency response systems.
• Advising on matters of specification, design, selection, procurement, application and maintenance and identifying/recognizing potential hazards in own discipline and proposing/implementing solutions to eliminate/minimize risks.
• Supervising pipeline engineering activities in the field when being executed by third parties, when required.

Vacancy Description

Oando Marketing Limited is currently seeking a Calibration Engineer who reports to the Technical Services Engineer and is responsible for ensuring the proper, accurate and timely calibration of all product storage tanks (including truck tanks), custody transfer vessels / equipment, flow media, pressure or temperature equipment and other measuring devices in OMP's plants, terminals, VMI sites and retail outlets according to industry standards and regulations at the appropriate time. This role is also responsible for validation and certification of these measurement systems.

(Note: All candidates with less than 3 years post NYSC will be required to pass an aptitude test before they can be considered for interview)
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
STRATEGIC

Develop adequate work plan to ensure that all OMP's custody transfer assets (CTA) – tanks, trucks, vessels, equipment, etc companywide are calibrated as at when due and obtain approval for this work plan.
Ensure prompt calibration of CTAs by due date and according to work plan.
Proper and accurate implementation of approved calibration procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all calibrations done in OMPlc.
Develop and maintain viable working relationships with regulators (DPR, Weights & Measures, etc), service providers (calibrators) and customers.
Continuously track and monitor calibration status of all CTA on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis.
Publish calibration reports when due to all stakeholders and obtain feedback for follow up and necessary updates/corrections within SLAs.

OPERATIONAL

Undertake hands-on calibration and certification activities for gas and liquid measurement systems for OMPlc's facilities.
Undertake pressure test of tanks and other vessels as required before calibration.
Carry out frequent physical random checks on calibration teams (internal & external) and publish reports of such checks in allotted time frame.
Perform accuracy verification checks on measurement procedures and systems.
Prepare and monitor payment documents for vendors for calibration works satisfactorily completed.
Actively participate in the maintenance and repairs of OMPlc's measuring equipment, ensuring that company quality standards and specifications are met.
Obtain from Installation Engineers signed off evidence of proper sealing of flow meters and other equipment after calibration.
Advise engineering team on calibration provisions for all new projects.
Assist Terminal/Plant Operations teams in resolution of stock variance issues.
Validate calibration tables, charts and reports submitted by calibrators.
Manage day to day activities associated with calibration including client liaison, calibrators' equipment certification, etc.
Ensure all calibration works are carried out in line with Oando EHS procedure.

DEVELOPMENTAL

To maintain a comprehensive knowledge of up-to-date industry standards and codes of practice for calibration of measuring equipment used by OMPlc.
Acquire and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of calibration to OMP's operations.

REQUIREMENTS

1st degree in Engineering
Membership of Nigeria Society Of Engineers (optional)
Minimum of 5 years calibration experience in the petroleum industry.
Experience of fluid flow measurement and instrumentation projects, in particular the requirements for metering calibration and verification. Must be familiar with the operation of Flow Meters, weighing scales/bridges, as well as conventional and small volume provers.
Should be familiar with the principles of tank calibration, including the wet and dry (physical strapping, ultrasonic) methods.
Should be familiar with principles of weighing and calibration of weighing systems.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and Executes logistics and freight plans to support business and operational needs based on requirements stated in the business plans and budgets of individual entities and departments.
- Makes useful recommendations for cost savings for more efficient and effective delivery methods. Manage the delivery process to minimize additional costs (i.e. demurrage).
- Supports procurement contract negotiation efforts as may be required from time to time; with supervision, negotiates favourable basic vendor agreements.
- Works to effectively remove any obstacles to ensure optimal delivery of services to the highest standards thereby achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Management of request for quote (RFQ) or call for tender (CFT) process to obtain appropriate proposals/quotes from logistic vendors.
- Carries out vendors' performance appraisal with support on key logistic vendors
- Preparation of purchase requests, LPOs, and work orders related to imports and exports thus working out the best logistics.
- Liaise with Finance dept and local banks on opening of LCs for imports and payment of clearing fees and duties and collection of necessary paperwork for import/export.
- Co-coordinating imports/exports with agents and local authorities
- Ensures Container deposit refund are remitted in cases where the company makes financial commitment
- Process the timely renewal of the ETLS Certificate and other regulatory agencies permits such as NAFDAC, SON etc.
- Verifies custom clearing agents bills as well as other bills that may be presented by other stakeholders including shipping companies.
- Produces/provides periodic updates and required management reports covering service ordering, order tracking, purchase orders and contracts, service order delivery scheduling and costs.
- Works to effectively remove any obstacles to ensure optimal delivery of services to the highest standards thereby achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
- With appropriate direction, assesses, and resolves service delivery issues; supports the negotiation of successful resolutions to problems or customer concerns.
- Surveys customers to assess process and team performance; benchmarks other organisations (locally and internationally) for process ideas and solutions for achieving significant improvements in the quality of logistics support.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of a 2nd class lower
- 2 – 4 years work experience, within a reputable and structured organization preferably an FCMG or Oil and Gas multinational; prior General Administration experience is an advantage

PTDF Scholarships 2011 Application Page

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Overseas Scholarship Scheme (OSS) has earned quite a reputation over the years. The programme is designed to meet the long-term capacity requirements of the oil and gas industry through training of young Nigerians in related fields of Engineering, Geological Sciences, Environmental and Energy Studies both at the master's and doctoral levels.

In pursuit of its mandate the PTDF is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for its MSc and PhD Scholarships as well as Undergraduate, under the PTDF scholarship scheme. Scholarships will be awarded for studies in areas listed below, in the United Kingdom and upgraded Universities in Nigeria for the 2011/2012 session. However, the undergraduate level will be awarded for studies in Nigeria only.

Beneficiaries are expected to fit directly into the oil and gas industry and/or the academia and contribute meaningfully to development of the sector. Sponsorship under the OSS is for Master's and Doctoral Degree programmes in UK universities.

Eligibility Requirements
2011/2012 PTDF SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME In pursuit of its mandate the PTDF is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for its MSc and PhD Scholarships as well as Undergraduate, under the PTDF scholarship scheme. Scholarships will be awarded for studies in areas listed below, in the United Kingdom and upgraded Universities in Nigeria for the 2011/2012 session. Job description
Key responsibilities and deliverables of job:

· Reports to the Maintenance and Inspection Contract Coordinator.
· Assist to prepare, in coordination with the Contract section and the concerned technical entities (Maintenance or Inspection) the Maintenance and Inspection Contracts and other technical documents for further tendering. Coordinates with the authorities and the Contract section for their technical and commercial evaluation, and then develops the Contract documents until signature. Follows-up the preparation and implementation of the Services until close out.
· Liaises with the technical entities the follows up of the contract including performance control, invoices checking, costs allocation, reporting, etc.
· Give advice to Management concerning contractual issues affecting contracts in place.
· Detect variations & changes to the contracts, and follow up claims until settlement and close out.
· Prepares, negotiate as need be, and follows-s up the yearly rates reviews, the issuance of Change orders; represents as required the M&I Contract Coordinator in the (Monthly and specific) coordination meetings with contractor.
· Anticipates and prepares, in coordination with the Authorities, the Contract section, and technical authorities the contracts renewals through the approved call for tender process.
· Prepares, at a lighter scale the same process for Service Orders (light contracts of value below 250 KUSD).

This responsibility covers:

I About 8-10 General Maintenance and Inspection Services Contracts
I Up to 10 Frame agreements for various ad-hoc Maintenance and Inspection Services Contracts
I Up to 5-8 Specific Maintenance or Inspection Contracts issued with single source services providers (OEM- Original Equipment Manufacturers)
I Up to about 100 short term Service Orders per year
I Global Contracts and Service Orders amounting around 30MUSD per year.
· Ensure adequate Contracting strategy is implemented which shall include as a minimum: business requirement, HSE risk level,
Market structure and data, cost structure and remuneration, risks, opportunities and risk sharing, level of supervision, etc.
· Initiate and control regular audits on the implementation of the Maintenance & Inspection contracts, check compliance to the contract terms and conditions.
· Represent the M&I group for any contract related issues to external entities, partners, authorities (DPR, NCD, NAPIMS, etc.).
· Liaise with relevant departments, partners and government authorities to obtain agreements for timely placement of contracts.
· Coordinate these actions with concerned staff from both onshore and offshore sites.

Job requirements

The appointee will assist in maximizing the utilization of NSML Fleet Personnel (Officers&ratings) by fleet managers to ensure statutory safe manning levels and relief planning. He/She will provide overall coordination of logistics for implementing all crew changes, ship visits and thir-party access to NLNG chartered ships at Bonny & other ports.

The duties will include but are not limited to the following:

-Plan shipboard assignments fpr assigned BGT ships and ensure all stakeholders interest are met.
-Assist to draw up shipboard personnel relief plans/scgedules
-Implement crew changes and ensure adherence to uniform interpretation and application of approved pilocies and procedures to seafarers.
-Arrange logistics for officers and cadets and contact them on plans for their shipboard assignments
-Assist in providing professional advice and guidance to seafarers on shipboard personnel related issues.
-Undertake quarterly ship visits to the Nigerian officers on board.
-Maintain an efficient crew mail deliver system in Nigerian officers and cadets.
-Prepare monthly management report on utilization of Nigerian officers and cadets.
-Assist in conducting periodic reconciliation of shipboard allowances with fleet manager.
-Respond to all issues/concerns raised by officers/cadets relating to their sea service.
-Support Manager, Manning &Operations in the effective oversight of manning activities by -3rd party Manning Agents contracted by BGT fleet managers.
-Prepare joining instructions and leave notifications for officers joining/offsigning.
-Acknowledge all correspondence related to crew changes

The Person:

-Possess a good university degree in Humanities, Law or Social Sciences
-Possess 3years post graduation manning experience in a shipping organization or HR function with crewing responsibilities in an oil & gas company.
-Have knowledge of shipping operations in the maritime industry.
-Be a good team player with excellent interpersonnal and communication skills.
-Possess computer literacy skills and ability to work with crewing software will be an advantage

JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidates will be responsible for the preparation of a global maintenance plan/manual and also participate in carrying out those plans, which encompasses: Running Plan, Lubrication Plan, On – Condition Monitoring Plan, Maintenance Task & Associated Schedules, Standard Maintenance Procedures, Specific Maintenance Procedures, Maintenance Documents & Sheets

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Participate in RCM studies for systems/ equipment identified as vital & critical following approved methods
· Implementation of planned preventive maintenance
· Participate in topo – functional breakdown preparation
· Recover relevant feedback data from company's subsidiary in relation to previous projects
· Participate in optimization studies for systems & equipment not treated with the RCM method, using the method approved by the organization
· Provide support for spare parts associated with maintenance operations
· Participate in field assignments

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

· A B.Sc degree or (HND compulsorily with a Masters degree) in Electrical Engineering
· Similar experience in the maintenance field on oil & gas production installations
· Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar role
· A basic knowledge of oil & gas treatment, installation & in depth knowledge of equipment used in the treatment and installation
· Advance Excel skills
· Good organizational skills
· Ability to work without supervision
· Eloquent in the English language and knowledge of the French Language will be an advantage
· Stable and progressive career – no job hoppers.
· Must possess demonstrable and measurable success in a similar role
· Must possess all skills required in this profession
